Project T.A.C.T.I.C.

Project T.A.C.T.I.C. (Teens And Cops Tackling Internet Crime), is an innovate project from Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.  The theme was digital citizenship and students.  Through a partnership between The Peterborough Police Service, Fleming College, the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board and the Peterborough Victoria Northumberland Catholic District School Board, students were able to create media to educate younger students about  digital citizenship.  High school students were selected from both school boards and explored the impact of information, communication and media technologies on youth.  Participants were given the opportunity to create multimedia supports to educate other students about being online and using technology.  The students met weekly and received a college credit.

The primary goal of the project was to empower students through education and give them the skills to interpret their digital presence.  Supporting students through education will keep our young people safe from digital dangers and guide them to become respectable online citizens. This website is the culmination of their efforts.
